Life Path
The Life Path is the single most significant number in your chart. It comes from your full date of birth and describes the central theme of your life: the terrain you move through, the lessons that keep returning, and the direction your experience tends to take. It is the one number that never changes.
How it’s calculated
Reduce each part of your birth date on its own, the month, the day, and the year, to a single digit or a Master Number, then add those three results and reduce once more. If the final total is 11, 22, or 33, it is kept as a Master Number rather than reduced further. The Numerologist uses this full-date-digits method exclusively.
The two-digit number you pass through on the way to the final digit is worth noting. It adds nuance to the reading, and it is where a Karmic Debt number (13, 14, 16, or 19) shows up if you carry one.
What it reveals
Your Life Path does not tell you what will happen. It describes the kind of journey you are on, the terrain rather than the events. It shapes the opportunities that tend to appear, the challenges that recur, and the lessons that keep coming back until you work them through. Its influence runs through every part of a life at once: how you lead, how you love, how you earn, how you heal, and how you make sense of things.
Because it is drawn from your birth date rather than your name, it is fixed. Where other numbers describe what you are equipped with or how you come across, the Life Path describes the road itself.
